Do Daal Ka Haleem, Pumpkin & Coconut Sweets And Sabzi Ghotala by Rida Aftab

Ingredients for Do Daal Ka Haleem:

  • Boiled meat 1 kg
  • Wheat 2 cup
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Boiled gram lentils 1 cup
  • Onion 250 gm
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Nutmeg 1 tsp
  • Mace 1 tsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Chili powder 2-1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Firstly, put salt, chopped red chili, ginger garlic paste and turmeric and cook with 2 glass water on low flame. Now mash it nicely.
  2. Then add boiled gram lentils and wheat, boil it, chop it nicely and mix with meat and cook for half an hour.
  3. Now put chopped nutmeg, mace.
  4. After that, add garam masala.
  5. In end, make onion brown in oil, give tarka to haleem and serve hot.

Ingredients for Sabzi Ghotala:

  • Cauliflower 1 cup
  • Peas 1 cup
  • Carrot 1 cup
  • Capsicum 1 cup
  • Potato chopped 1 cup
  • Tomato 1/2 kg
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Crushed red chili  2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Fresh coriander 1/2 bunch
  • Green chilies 2
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Oil 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Heat oil in pan, add mustard seed, salt, chopped red chili, turmeric, tomato, together add water, cover it and cook for 5 minutes.
  2. When tomatoes becomes soft, cut cauliflower, peas, carrot, capsicum and potato into thin pieces, mix it, cover it and  keep on low flame for half an hour.
  3. When all vegetables are tendered well, put green chilies, chopped garam masala and green coriander and turn off the stove.

Ingredients for Pumpkin & Coconut Sweets:

  • Pumpkin (boiled) 1 kg
  • Sugar powder 1/2 kg
  • Milk thickened 1/2 kg
  • Coconut 250 grams
  • Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • Green food color few drops
  • Silver paper 2

Method:

  1. Put boiled pumpkin, coconut, sugar and cardamom powder in one bowl and mix with hand nicely.
  2. Now add coconut and few drops of green food. Then grease tray and put mixture on it.
  3. When it cools, cut into pieces and keep silver paper on top.
  4. Delicious pumpkin & coconut sweets is ready.
