Ingredients:

For Koftay:

  • Finely chopped green chilies 2
  • Egg whites 2
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves 1 bunch
  • Boiled potatoes 1/2 kg
  • Rice flour 1/2 cup
  • Crushed black pepper 1 tsp
  • Crushed red chilies 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

For Gravy:

  • Finely chopped green chilies 2
  • Finely chopped fried onion 3
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves 1 bunch
  • Fresh cream 1 packet
  • Yogurt 1/2 bowl
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • All spice powder 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp

Method:

  1. For koftay: Make bharta of potatoes.
  2. Now mix with black pepper, red chilies, green chilies, coriander leaves, rice flour and salt.
  3. Then grease hands, make koftay of this mixture, dip in beaten egg whites and fry it.
  4. For gravy: Heat oil in pot, fry onion until golden brown, take it out and crisp it.
  5. Now mix yogurt, red chili powder, all spice powder, ginger garlic paste and turmeric in crisp onion and put in pot.
  6. Then roast it slightly and spread fried koftay.
  7. After little roasting, add 1 cup hot water and put fresh cream after 15 minutes.
  8. Then add coriander leaves and green chilies and serve hot with naan.

Aloo Koftay is amazing dish. It is prepared with different variations. Koftay is prepared with potatoes bharta, served in yogurt & cream gravy and serve it with naan or rice.
