Chicken Tacos Recipe

Chicken Taco is traditional Mexican dish. You must try this recipe at home. You can make it with beef or vegetables.

Ingredients:

For Chicken:

  • Chicken breast strips 1 kg
  • Sriracha sauce 6 tbsp
  • Honey 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • For Taco Shells:
  • Tortillas 12
  • Oil 1/2 cup

For Salsa:

  • Tomatoes small 6
  • Onion small 2
  • Garlic cloves 6
  • Jalapenos 2
  • Lemon juice 1
  • Tomato puree 1 cup
  • Crushed cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar 3 tsp
  • Coriander leaves 1/4 cup

For Serving:

  • Taco shells 12
  • Salsa 1 cup
  • Carrot slices 3
  • Cabbage slices 1
  • Lettuce leaves 6
  • Sour cream 1 cup
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sriracha sauce 2 tbsp
  • Honey 2 tbsp

Direction:

  1. For taco shells: Preheat oven on 190 degrees C on gas mark 5.
  2. Now wrap tortillas in wet cloth and microwave it for 30 seconds.
  3. Now remove from cloth and poke it with fork on both sides.
  4. Then brush tortillas with oil on both sides.
  5. Now fold tortillas between two wires of wire rack and bake it for 7 to 10 minutes or until hard or crisp.
  6. For salsa: Put tomatoes, onions, garlic, jalapenos, lemon juice, cumin seeds, salt, sugar and coriander leaves in blender and blend it.
  7. Now add tomato pure and blend more.
  8. For chicken: Put all ingredients in bowl, mix it nicely and marinate chicken for 30 minutes.
  9. Now heat oil in pan, put marinated chicken and cook on medium-high flame until chicken tender.
  10. Then remove from stove and cool it.
  11. In bowl, put honey and Sriracha sauce and mix it nicely.
  12. In other bowl, put sour cream, lemon juice and salt and mix it nicely.
  13. To assemble: Take one taco shell, put chicken, salsa, carrot slices, cabbage slices, lettuce leaves, sour cream mixture and honey mixture.
  14. Prepare remaining tacos like this.
  15. Then serve in serving plate.

Chicken Tacos is tasty dish. Chicken is marinated with sauce, honey & lemon juice and cooked. Then filled in taco shells with salsa, carrots, cabbage, lettuce leaves, sour cream mixture, honey & Sriracha sauce mixture and served.
