  • @shellrag: Dear in Pakistan two types of creams are available: Tetra pak and fresh. By tetrapak we mean branded cream available in tetra packaging (with preservatives and additives and is saucy in texture)whereas fresh cream is available loose from dairy shops and is free from any preservatives and a bit thick thus very sensitive to handle as it may get curdled quickly. U can whip both of them when they are lil chilled. Also if u boil FRESH MILK and keep it in fridge after 12 hrs u can see a thick layer of cream floating. this is fresh cream.

  • Hi, i tried this dessert.. everyone in my family loved it. I did make praline/crunch.. i spread half of it in middle layer and half of it for garnish on top... it was good. I used whip cream for this recipe. I still get confused regarding whip cream fresh cream and tetra pak... here in canada we get whip cream which is runny and you have to whip it (we do get already whipped cream as well) ... then we get nestle cream which is in a tin and its color is a lil creamy... a bit thicker .. and then we get half and half cream. when shireen aunty says tetra pak what does she mean?? when she says fresh cream is it the nestle cream? please help??

  • sadia jamil, the cream that u get mostly in USA is already whipped and u dont have to whip it. In pakistan u get mostly cream that needs to be beaten. If u want to use runny cream, u can use half and half.

  • sadia jamil, i believe tetra pack is the regular cream in unbeaten form and whipped cream is beaten cream.... tetra pack cream is in runny condition and whipped cream is thick and a little stiff.
