nasacool shahnaz farhat eid mubark to both of u. Thanx for remembering nasacool. I hope fall is pretty where u live bec here in virginia from late october fall colors are at peak.I am enjoying their orange yellow red colors.
thanx a lot shahnaz for giving such a detail answer and helping me out. i highly appreciate it. now im also thinking of using cooking chocolate and see how the result comes out. thanx again:)
Silver moon I used cooking chocolate instead of cocoa powder that she used for making chocolate glaze for drizzle on top when the cake was done. If you noticed she used:
- icing sugar 1 1/2 cup
- butter 1 tbsp
- cocoa powder 2 tbsp
- vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
- milk 2-3 tbsp
You have to cook all these ingredients in a pan at a very slow heat till mixed. What I did was that I used 3 tbsp of cooking chocolate and 3/4 cup of icing sugar with 2-3 tbsp of cream to make chocolate glaze. I used less icing sugar because the cooking chocolate I used was semi sweet. You can do it either way, the result is gonna be the same. I did it this way because I was out of cocoa powder.
sorry seemi I was out yesterday and all day today hence couldn't reply asap. I have kids they love sweets, so no matter how much I avoid it I still have to make it. Especially my two year old who is a heart patient and when he likes something I go crazy excited and I keep on making it until he gets fed up of it. Since I am watching my weight so I only tasted it and it was very delicious. My husband liked it very much too.Yes my dear, I used cooking chocolate.
shahnaz farhat how was the taste of the cake. did u use cooking chocolate or hersheys. My husband doesnt like too much sweets hence i generally make few desserts.
Thankyou so much seemi, i hope you had a wonderful eid aswell :) yes i am set to tie the knot in november inshallah so trying to learn as much as i can before the big day as he is quite a foodie and so am i :) your words are always kind and encouraging and your output for various dishes has been immensely helpful so please keep it coming as we love to hear from you! thank you again.stay blessed :)
amnah belated eid greetings. I just read that u have a fiance, congrats for the upcoming wedding.so u r learning his favorite dishes, thats very good. Zubaida tariq says taht the home is maintained thru a good kitchen, good food not the other luxuries.seemi
I made this chocolate macaroon cake on second day of eid and it was really good. It was so good that my husband asked me to make another one for his friends who have invited him over for eid party on the weekend after Eid. He told me that everyone at the party loved it. It is really very easy to make and yields quite a big cake.
