Chocolate Nut Pie

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of sugar
  • 7 teaspoons of cocoa
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 large can of Evaporated milk
  • 1 stick of butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 2 cups of grated coconut
  • 1 cup of chopped pecans
  • A dash of salt
  • 3 (9") unbaked pie shells

Method:

  1. In a bowl, combine the sugar, cocoa, and the eggs and mix well.
  2. Add milk and the softened butter.
  3. Fold in the vanilla, coconut, pecans, and salt.
  4. Pour the mixture into the 3 unbaked pie shells and bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
  5. Serve hot.
