Pizza sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 425g can peeled tomatoes, crushed
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp sugar

Method:

  1. Heat oil in medium pan.
  2. Add onion and stir-fry over low heat for 5 minutes or until very soft.
  3. Add crushed garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in tomato, herbs and sugar and cook over low heat for 10 minutes until reduced and thickened.
  5. Add salt and pepper, to taste.
  6. Cool before use.
