Baked spinach with cheese

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg Spinach, cut into strips
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 large Onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper powder

Method:

  1. In a pan, heat butter until bubbly.
  2. Add onion and garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle with salt, cover and steam for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the spinach and remove from heat.
  5. Grease a casserole pan and transfer the mixture to it.
  6. Sprinkle with paprika, nutmeg and pepper.
  7. Top with cheese.
  8. Back at 350 F about 20 minutes or until cheese bubbles.
  9. Serve hot
