Cheese Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 pound loaf of bread, halved lengthwise
  • 4 ounces cheese, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

Method:

  1. Smear butter over cut sides of bread.
  2. Then place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, combine the cheese, oregano and garlic salt; and sprinkle over bread.
  4. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes
  5. Serve warm.  

This chewy cheese bread can be served warm for dinner or even as a party appetizer.
