Gingerbread Cookies

Ingredients:
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 to 3 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 egg
- 1 cup molasses
- 2 tbsp. vinegar
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Method:
- In a pan Cream sugar and shortening.
- Take a pot and beat eggs along with molasses, and vinegar.
- Sift together dry ingredients and blend into creamed mixture.
- Chill for 3 hours and roll dough on lightly floured surface.
- Cut in ginger man shapes, or any other shape.
- Place it on cookie sheet and bake at 375F for 5 minutes.
Fragrant with molasses, ground ginger and cinnamon
