Ingredients for Habshi Halwa:

  • Milk 2 liter
  • سمنک 2 ounce
  • Flour 4 ounce
  • Liquid glucose 2 tbsp
  • Brown color 1 pinch
  • Alum 1/2 tsp
  • Tatari 1/2 tsp
  • Walnut 1 cup
  • Ghee 1/2 cup
  • Sugar 2 cup
  • Nutmeg, Mace 1/2 tsp
  • Small cardamom 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Mix سمنک and flour in little milk.
  2. Now mix this mixture into remaining milk and cook it.
  3. When it boil, vail out from stove.
  4. Now add tatari, alum, ghee and sugar. When mixture burst, leave it over night.
  5. Keep it on stove next day and cook it until it water becomes dry.
  6. When little water remains, add ghee & sugar and cook it until the water of sugar becomes dry.
  7. Now add nutmeg, mace, small cardamom & brown color and parch it.
  8. Add liquid glucose & walnut and mix it.
  9. Spread mixture in greased tray. When set, cut into pieces and serve it.

Ingredients Andrasy:

  • Rice flour 150 gram
  • Sugar 125 gram
  • Water 1/2 cup
  • Soda 1/8 tsp
  • Sesame 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Add sugar in water and cook it.
  2. When sugar dissolves, vail out from stove. Noe add rice flour, mix it well and make dough.
  3. Now put flour into air tight box and leave it for 5 to 6 days.
  4. When u want to make it, add soda.
  5. Put sesame into dish. Make roll of dough and muffle it on sesame.
  6. Cut into pieces, fry it over low flame and serve it.
