Ingredients for Chicken Chana Handi:

  • Chicken boneless 1/2 kg
  • Chick peas boiled 2 cups
  • Brown onion ground 3 tbsp
  • White cumin crushed 1-1/2 tsp
  • All spice 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander 1 tbsp
  • Crushed red pepper 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Tomato paste 2 tbsp
  • Yogurt whipped 1/2 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Green chillies 6
  • Ginger Julian's 1 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves chopped 3 tbsp
  • Fresh cream 4 tbsp
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Oil 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Heat oil and butter in a handi.
  2. Add ginger garlic paste, fry for 2 minutes. Add chicken and fry for 5 minutes, add the dry spices with tomato paste and yogurt.
  3. Cover and cook for 10 minutes covered. Then add chick peas with cream, green chillies, Julian's ginger and all spice. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves.
