Chicken Gulai by Chef Zakir

Ingredients:

  • Chicken boneless 1/2 kg
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red food color few drops
  • Tomato puree 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Nutmeg 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Yogurt 250 gram
  • Coriander leaves as required
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Aluminum foil as required
  • Muslin cloth as required

Method:

  1. Put yogurt in muslin cloth, take out all water and then keep in one bowl.
  2. Now chop chicken nicely, coat with some salt & lemon juice and marinate it.
  3. Then add chicken in yogurt.
  4. Now add tomato puree, food color, ginger garlic paste, chopped coriander, chilli powder, turmeric, nutmeg, all spice powder & coriander powder and mix nicely.
  5. Then cut aluminum foil into 5 5 inch square shape, grease with some oil. Put 2 tbsp chicken in center and roll in round shape.
  6. Now preheat oven before on 230 degrees C.
  7. Now roast nicely for 8 to 10 minutes.
  8. Then take out from oven, open aluminum foil, put chicken in platter and serve with any chutney.
