Ingredients for Masoor Daal Bhindi:

  • Masoor daal 1/2 kg
  • Bhindi 250 gram
  • Ginger 1 tbsp
  • Garlic 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Bay leaf 2 sticks
  • Onion 2
  • Tomato 2
  • Keri 1
  • Green chilli 4
  • Oil 1 bowl
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves for garnish

Method:

  1. Heat oil in one pan and fry onion until light red.
  2. Now add chopped ginger, garlic & bay leaf and saute it.
  3. Together add tomato and cook until it cooked well. Then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder & salt and roast masala.
  4. Lastly, add bhindi, soaked masoor daal, keri cubes & water and keep it on simmer.
  5. When ready, serve it.

Ingredients for Shahi Chawal:

  • Rice 1 kg
  • Oil 1 bowl
  • Garlic 1 tbsp
  • Mix all spice 1 tbsp
  • Cumin 1 tbsp
  • Kewra water 1/2 tsp
  • Yellow color as required
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat oil in one pan and saute garlic.
  2. Now add mix all spice, cumin, salt & water as required.
  3. When boils, add soaked rice. When water dries, dissolve yellow color in kewra water, add in rice and leave for simmer.
  4. Shahi chawal is ready.
