Aaloo tikki chaat

Ingredients;

For chilli garlic sauce:
  • Red chilli powder         2 tbsp
  • Talhar mirch                    5
  • Garlic                              2 tbsp
  • Sugar                               1 tbsp
  • Oil                                    3 tbsp
For making shells:
  • Potato             1/2 kg
  • Salt                    1 tsp
  • Bread slice         2
  • Cumin seed      1 tbsp
  • Eggs                     2
For filling:
  • Onion                      1
  • Garlic                     1 tbsp
  • Chickpeas               1 cup
  • Coriander           1 bunch
  • Green chilli              10-12
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli pwd       1-1/2 tbsp
  • Salt                                 1 tsp
  • Oil                               1/2 cup
For coating:
  • Flour                     1 cup
  • Egg                            2
For chaat masala:
  • Cumin seeds                 3 tbsp
  • Coriander                      3 tbsp
  • Black salt                          1 tsp
  • Tatric acid                        1 tsp
  • Dry mango powder      3 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder         4 tbsp
  • Salt                                     1 tsp
  • Ajwain                               1 tsp

Method;

  1. Damp the bread in water
  2. Chop it with potato , salt and cumin seeds.
For filling;
  1. Heat oil in  a pan fry onion and garlic in it.
  2. Add chickpeas,  red chilli powder , coriander and salt , cook for 5 mins.
  3. Take off from heat and chop this mixture finely.
  4. Make small tikkis of aalo mixture.
  5. Put 1 tbsp of chickpeas in the centre of tikki and close it from all sides.
  6. Coat it in flour and then dip in egg , fry.
  7. Serve with sauce and masala.
