Noodles & Coconut Sauce, Makhni Halwa And Beef & Sesame Seeds by Rida Aftab

Ingredients for Noodles & Coconut Sauce:

  • 1/2 packet boiled noodles
  • 2 tbsp thai chili paste
  • 1/2 kg chicken
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp crushed cumin
  • 1 cup stock
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup cauliflower
  • 2 tbsp coriander
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic
  • 5 tbsp oil

Method:

  1. Firstly, cut chicken into small pieces, marinate with salt, black pepper, turmeric, chopped cumin, soya sauce and ginger garlic and leave for 10 minutes.
  2. Now heat oil pan and fry chicken on high flame.
  3. Then add boiled noodles, mix it, also put cauliflower, mix it and turn off stove.
  4. Put oil in separate pot, put coconut milk, chicken stock, lemon juice and thai chili paste and cook it.
  5. When it becomes thick, dish out noodles, put sauce on top, sprinkle green coriander and serve.

Ingredients for Makhni Halwa:

  • 250 grams semolina
  • 250 grams ghee
  • 250 grams khoya
  • 750 grams milk
  • 4 cardamom
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp kewra
  • pistachio/ almonds as required

Method:

  1. Soak semolina for 2 hours.
  2. Then heat ghee and roast semolina in it.
  3. When ghee starts comes on top, put sugar and roast more.
  4. Now add chopped crushed cardamoms.
  5. Together put kewra and khoya and roast it.
  6. In end, take out in dish, sprinkle pistachio and almonds and serve.

Ingredients for Beef & Sesame Seeds:

  • 1/2 kg beef undercut
  • 1 tbsp garlic chopped
  • 2 tsp chopped chilies
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 4 boiled tomatoes
  • 1 tsp crushed cumin
  • 2 tbsp chili sauce
  • 250 grams broccoli
  • 2 onions
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Method:

  1. Heat oil, put ginger garlic paste and beef undercut and fry on high flame.
  2. Now put hot water, cover it and cook on high flame for 10 minutes.
  3. Together put chopped chillies, fish sauce, soya sauce, lemon juice, chopped cumin, chili sauce and salt and mix it.
  4. Then add broccoli, onion and sesame seeds and simmer it for 5 minutes.
