Kaleji Liver Karahi And Loki Halwa by Chef Shai

Ingredients for Kaleji Liver Karahi:

  • Mutton liver 1/2 kg
  • Thick yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1/4 cup
  • Tandoori masala 2 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Onion rings 2 cups
  • Fresh coriander & Green chilies garnish
  • Lemon slices for garnish
  • Salt as needed
  • Lettuce leaves for garnish
  • Pepper for garnish

Method:

  1. Marinate kaleji with all the garlic tandoori masala, yogurt and lemon juice.
  2. Heat ghee or oil, add onion until soft, add marinated kaleji cook on high heat for about 8 to 10 minutes, add salt and cook until its almost dry.
  3. Take out in a dish, garnish with garam masala and other garnishes and serve with naan.

Ingredients for Loki Halwa:

  • Loki peeled & shredded 2 medium
  • Dry milk powder 2 cups
  • Butter 1 cup
  • Green food color if needed
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • Dry fruit 1/2 cup
  • Silver paper for garnish
  • Pumpkin seeds 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Heat ghee/ butter, add pumpkin seeds, cardamom powder, loki dry milk cook until dry, add sugar and color further cook until done.
  2. Add dry fruit and garnish with silver paper.
