Beef biryani

Ingredients:

  • Beef leg           1 kg
  • Salt                  1-1/2 tbsp
  • Oil              1/3 cup
  • Rice           1/2 kg
  • Garlic         1-1/2 tbsp
  • Ginger        1-1/2 tbsp
  • Onion         4
  • Yoghurt      3 cups
  • Red chilli pwd  3 tbsp
  • Garam masla   2 tbsp
  • Tomato              1
  • Lemon     2
  • Cumin seeds   1- 1/2 tbsp
  • Coriander        1-1/2 tbsp
  • Kewra        1/4 cup
  • Potato          3
  • Yellow food color 1/3 tsp

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan, fry onion and garlic .
  2. Now add beef , red chilli powder , turmeric and cook on high flame 
  3. Add 2 litr water , salt and cook till beef becomes tender.
  4. Put coriander, yoghurt , cumin and cook on high flane till the water dries.
  5. Peel potatoes and boil separately and add yellow color .
  6. Add in the beef gravy.
  7. Now add garam masala , tomatoes, lemon and kewra.
  8. Now fill a large pot with water , add salt and bring to a rolling boil.
  9. Add rice to the boiling water and cook till 3/4 done.
  10. Strain the rice in a strainer.
  11. Layering:  Now spread a little oil from the gravy in the pot. Spread a layer of rice  over it . Spread beef gravy over the rice. Then again a layer of the gravy. Finish the layering with rice on top.
  12. Spread a thick cloth over the mouth of the pot and cover it with a lid.
  13. Heat a griddle pan place the pot over it
  14. Steam the biryani over low heat for 15 minutes.



Hari mirch ka raita

Ingredients:

  • Green chilli              15-20
  • Yoghurt 2 cups
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice 3 tbsp
  • Garlic 1 tsp

Salad:

Ingredients:

  • Cucumber   1 
  • Beetroot 1
  • Lettuce 1/2 bunch
  • Tomato 2
  • Onion 1
  • Lemon 2
  • Salt 1/3 tsp
  • Coriander 3 tbsp
  • Mint 3 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
