Lentil Burger And Potato Wedges by Sara Riaz

Ingredients for Lentil Burger:

  • Potatoes 1/2 kg
  • Legume 1 tin
  • Onion 2
  • Chopped and crushed cumin 1 tbsp
  • Chopped and crushed coriander 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala 1 tbsp
  • Salt as required
  • Chickpeas 1 tin
  • Eggs 1
  • Green coriander 2 tbsp
  • Green chilies 3-4
  • Bread crumbs as required
  • Bun 4
  • Salad leaves as required
  • Tomatoes 4

For Coleslaw Slater:

  • Cabbage 250 gm
  • Carrot 1
  • Raisins 2 tbsp
  • Mayonnaise 1/4 cup
  • Cream 1/4 cup
  • Salt 1 pinch
  • White pepper 1 pinch
  • Caster sugar 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Boil potatoes and mash it.
  2. Mash legume and chickpeas lightly and mix in potatoes..
  3. Then mix chopped onion, green chilies, cumin, coriander, salt and garam masala nicely.
  4. Now make kababs of mixture, roll in flour and dip in eggs.
  5. Then coat with bread crumbs and shallow fry it.
  6. Cut buns from center and roast lightly.
  7. Keep salad leaves, coleslaw salad, burger slices and tomato slices on top.
  8. In end, cover with other side of bun and serve.

Ingredients for Potato Wedges:

  • Potato 1 kg
  • Flour 1 cup
  • Chicken seasoning 2 tsp
  • White pepper 1 tsp
  • Paprika 1 tsp
  • Garlic powder 2 tsp
  • Chili sauce 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Wash potatoes nicely, dry with cloth and cut wedges.
  2. Mix all ingredients in flour nicely.
  3. Now roll potatoes in dry masala and dry it nicely.
  4. Heat oil in karahi pan. Then deep fry potato wedges and take out in paper towel.
  5. Serve with chili sauce.
