Chicken biryani

Ingredients:

  • Rice                             2 cups
  • Potato                         4 small
  • Onion                          1 big
  • Tomato                         3
  • Half chicken                4 pcs
  • Ginger                           1 tbsp
  • Garlic                            1 tbsp
  • Oil                                  1/3 cup
  • Salt                                 1 tbsp
  • Yoghurt                         1 cup
  • Whole garam masala  2 tbsp
  • Crushed red chilli         1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice                    2 tbsp
  • Screwpine                        5 tbsp
  • Yellow food color            1 pinch
  • Green chilli                       6
  • Plum                                   6-8

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add onion, garlic , ginger and fry.
  2. Add red chilli powder and garam masala.
  3. Put in chicken and coom for 10 minutes.
  4. Now add tomatoes, salt and water.
  5. Cover and cook till 15 minutes on high flame.
  6. Add yoghurt cook till oil comes out.
  7. In the end add green chilli , screwpine and lemon juice.
  8. Boil rice in water with salt.
  9. Mix the boiled rice and boiled potato with the chicken.
  10. Mix yellow color in water and sprinkle over biryani.
  11. Set on dum for 10 minutes.






Raita:

Ingredients:

  • Yoghurt                      1/2 kg
  • Green chillies            6-8
  • Coriander                   1 bunch
  • Mint                              1 bunch
  • Garlic                            1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice                 3 tbsp
  • Salt                                  1/2 tsp
  • Oil                                    2 tbsp
