Chicken Shawarma And Tahini Sauce by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients For Chicken Shawarma:

  • Chicken  500 gm
  • Garlic  3-4 cloves
  • Vinegar  2 tbsp
  • BBQ masala  2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice  1 tbsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Oil  as required
  • Salt  to taste

For Filling:

  • Chili pickle 1 cup
  • Pickled cucumber 1/2 cup
  • Pita bread  4
  • Cucumber 1
  • Onion  1
  • Tomato  1
  • Salad leaves  3-4
  • Olives  1 cup
  • Olive oil  2-3 tbsp

Method:

  1. For making chicken, cut the chicken pieces into slices.
  2. Pour oil in a pan, add chicken slices, garlic and fry it nicely.
  3. Then take a yogurt, vinegar, lemon juice, salt, tikka masala fry it lightly and dry it.
  4. Now take it out in a plate.
  5. Chicken is ready.
  6. For making salad add tomatoes, cucumber slices.
  7. Now cut the salad leaves into small pieces.
  8. Now take it out in a bowl.
  9. Then add tomatoes, cucumber, salad leaves.
  10. Now put olive oil, chilies, cucumber pickle.
  11. Salad is ready.
  12. For making pita Filling, take a pan, steam the pita bread lightly.
  13. Then open its pockets and add chicken mixture, sauce, green and black olives slices.
  14. Chicken shawarma is ready.

Ingredients For Hummus Sauce:

  • Boiled chickpeas 1 cup
  • Garlic 4 to 5 cloves
  • Paprika powder 1 tsp
  • Cream 1/2 cup
  • Olive oil  1/2 cup
  • Salt  to taste

Method:

  1. Take a boiled black peas, garlic cloves, cream, salt, now pour olives oil in a blender jug .
  2. Then add paprika powder for garnishing while serving.
  3. Hummus sauce is ready.
