Ingredients For Shrewsbury Biscuits:
Butter 125 gm
Caster sugar 3/4 cup
Egg yolk 2
Flour 1-1/2 cups
Lemon rind 1
Rose water 1 tbsp
Method:
Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg yolk and beat well.
Stir in flour and grated lemon rind and rose water and mix to a fairly firm dough.
Turn out the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead lightly to get smooth dough.
Roll it out, using a cookie cutter cut into rounds.
Place these rounds on the greased baking trays keeping sufficient distance between each.
Bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees C for about fifteen minutes or until biscuits are firm and a very light brown.
Turn them over onto a wire rack to cool completely using before storing in an airtight tin.
Ingredients Four Seasons Pizza:
For Dough:
Olive oil 2 tsp
Cheddar cheese 1/2 cup
Mozzarella cheese 1 1/2 cups
For BBQ Chicken:
Onion chopped 1 tbsp
Chicken chunks 1/2 cup
BBQ sauce 3 tbsp
For Margherita Pizza Square:
Parmesan cheese 1 tbsp
Tomato, sliced 1
Fresh basil 1 tbsp
For Hawaiian Pizza Square:
Pizza sauce 2 tbsp
Smoked sausages 1/2 cup
Pineapple tidbits 1/4 cup
For Pepperoni Pizza Square:
Pizza sauce 2 tbsp
Pepperoni 4 slices
Method:
Place pizza dough on cookies sheets.
Starting at center, press out dough into a rectangle.
Brush dough with olive oil
Bake 6 to 8 minutes, sprinkle cheddar cheese in the shape of a "plus sign" on crust, dividing the crust into four squares.
Top each square with 1 of the 4 variations listed above to make 4 different squares.
Top entire pizza with mozzarella cheese.
Bake 10-13 minutes longer or until crust is deep golden and cheese is melted and bubbly
Ingredients For Wheat Crackers:
Whole wheat flour 1-3/4 cups
Flour 1-1/2 cups
Salt 3/4 tsp
Oil 1/3 cup
Water 1 cup
Salt for sprinkling
Method:
Preheat the oven to 350 degree F (175 degree C).
In a medium bowl, stir together the whole wheat flour. flour and 3/4 tsp salt.
Pour in the oil and water; mix until just blended.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough as thin as possible- no thicker than 1/8 inch.
Place dough on an ungreased baking sheet, and mark squares out with a knife, but don't cut through.
Pick each cracker with a fork a few times, and sprinkle with salt.
Bake at 175 degree C for 15 to 20 minutes or until crisp and light brown.
When cool remove from baking sheet, and separate into individual crackers.
