Keri Daal, Keri Ka Murabba And Achari Rice by Rida Aftab

Ingredients For Achari Rice:

  • Boiled rice 1/2 kg
  • Grated raw mangoes 2
  • Tomatoes 250 gm
  • Curry leaves 6
  • Green chilies 6
  • Oil  1 cup
  • Green coriander  1/2 bunch
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric  1 tsp
  • Salt  1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds  1/2 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds  1/2 tsp
  • Back onion seeds  1/2 tsp
  • Fennel seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice  2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Pour oil in pan, add mustard seeds, kalonji, fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds for frying.
  2. When it starts to smell then add grated keri, tomato, green chilies, chopped turmeric, salt and chopped red chilies add some curry leaves.
  3. After that add boiled rice, simmer it for 10 minutes.
  4. Delicious Achari Rice is ready.

Ingredients For Keri Murabba:

  • Grated raw mangoes 1 kg
  • Sugar  1/2 kg
  • Water 2 cup
  • Cardamom  6
  • Cinnamon Powder  2 piece
  • Water  ( for boiling)  1 liter
  • Vinegar  2 tbsp
  • Curran  100 gm
  • Almonds  20 gm

Method:

  1. First add raw mangoes, grate them.
  2. Now take 1 liter water boil it and for 5 minutes then cook the raw mangoes.
  3. Now pour water in another pan, add sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, make its syrup.
  4. When the sugar is saturated then add keri.
  5. Along raisin, chopped almonds, pistachio, cook it on low temperature for 5 minutes.
  6. Then add vinegar, turn off the stove.
  7. When the mixture becomes cool then put it into a jar.
  8. Tasty keri murabba is ready.

Ingredients For Keri Daal:

  • Arhar Lentils 250 gm
  • Raw mangoes  250 gm
  • Hing 1 pinch
  • Onion 1
  • Curry leaves 6
  • Sagwan phali  6
  • Green chilies 6
  • Whole round chilies 6
  • Green coriander small quantity
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Salt  1 tsp
  • Turmeric  1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Coconut powder  1 tbsp
  • All spice powder  1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. First add arhar lentils boil it.
  2. Now pour oil in a pan, add onions make them golden brown.
  3. Then add saghwan phali, raw mangoes, salt, turmeric, hing, chopped coconut, chopped red chilies, whole red chilies, cumin, roast it well .
  4. After that add water, cover it for 16 minutes.
  5. Now add boiled lentils mix it well.
  6. In the end add green coriander, green chilies, cook it for 10 minutes.
  7. Delicious keri daal is ready.
