Pull Apart Cinnamon Rolls, Chicken Shashlik And Bun Kabab by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients For Bun Kabab:

  • Potatoes boiled 2
  • Mince  1 cup
  • Chana daal 1/2 cup
  • Salt  1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • White cumin  1 tsp
  • Black cumin   1/2 tsp
  • All spice powder 1/2 tsp
  • Buns 4
  • Cucumber 1
  • Tomato  1
  • Salad leaves  as required
  • Egg whites  2 to 3

For Chutney:

  • Mint leaves 20
  • Coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  • Green chilies 3
  • Tomato 1 small
  • Khatai powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic 1/2 tsp
  • Yogurt  3 tbsp

Ingredients For Pull Apart Cinnamon Rolls:

  • Flour  4 cups
  • Powdered milk 3 tbsp
  • Instant yeast 1 1/2 tsp
  • Egg  1
  • Caster sugar 2-1/2 ounce
  • Melted butter  1/4 cup
  • Salt  1/2 tsp
  • Luke warm water  as required
  • Brown sugar 1 cup
  • Cinnamon powder 2 tsp
  • Finely crushed walnuts  1/2 cup
  • Brown sugar 3/4 cup
  • Cream 1/2 cup
  • Butter  2 tbsp
  • Caramel essence  few drops

Method:

  1. Take a bowl add flour, dry milk, instant yeast, caster sugar, butter and salt mix it with water make its dough and leave it for an hour,
  2. So that is rises.
  3. Now roll the dough and brush it with butter, roll it with swiss roll.
  4. Then cut it from center and cover it for 30 minutes.
  5. Now brush it with egg yolk and bake it on 190 degree C for 15 minutes.
  6. Serve it with caramel sauce then serve.

Ingredients For Chicken Shashlik:

  • Boneless chicken 400 gm
  • Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  • Mustard powder 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Wooster sauce 1 tbsp
  • Ketchup  4 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Onion 2
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Capsicum  2

For Sauce:

  • BBQ sauce 3 tbsp
  • Vinegar 3 tbsp
  • Ketchup 4 tbsp
  • Chili sauce 1 tbsp
  • Wooster sauce 1 tbsp
  • Water  1/2 cup
  • Orange color  pinch

Method:

  1. For making sauce take a sauce pan add bbq sauce, vinegar, ketchup, chili sauce, wooster sauce, water and pinch of clove cook it for 5 minutes.
  2. Now take a boneless chicken, add ginger garlic paste, mustard seeds, chili powder, salt, wooster sauce and ketchup marinate it for 30 minutes.
  3. Then put the marinated chicken, capsicum, onion, tomatoes into skewer then grill it.
  4. Then serve the rice with BBQ sauce.

  • Tried these Bun kababs...must say very yummy...but i made just few changes...i also add ginger garlic paste,whole black pepper corns,few button red chilli,..in the assembling i also add sum ketcup n sliced onion....the special chutney is very tasty ..plz do give it a try..ur family gonna luv it. jazak Allah...
