Seesh Taouk

Ingredients:

  • Chicken boneless: 1
  • Egg: 1
  • Ginger garlic paste: 1 tsp
  • Yogurt: 8 tbsp
  • White pepper: 1 tsp
  • Grounded Onions: 2 tbsp
  • Oregano: 1 tsp
  • paprika powder: 1 tsp
  • White cumin: 1 tsp
  • Jafel: 1 pinch
  • All spice powder: 1/4 tsp
  • Salt: to taste

Method:

  1. Marinate chicken with egg, ginger garlic paste, yogurt, white pepper and leave it for 30 minutes.
  2. Fry the chicken and keep it aside.
  3. In a pan fry onions and add the chicken with paprika powder, white cumin, jafel, all spice powder, salt and mix well.
  4. serve hot.

Falafel

Ingredients:

  • Bheegay Qabli channay: 1/2 cup
  • Onion: 1
  • Crushed Garlic: 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves: 2 tbsp
  • Sooji: 2 tbsp
  • Crushed coriander: 1 tsp
  • Crushed cumin: 1 tsp
  • Turmeric: 1/4 tsp
  • Red chili powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper: 1/2 tsp
  • Soda: 1/2 tsp
  • Crushed green chilies: 2
  • Salt: to taste

Method:

  1. Dip channay in water and keep it overnight.
  2. The next day blend raw channas.
  3. Then add in onions, salt, sooji, garlic, coriander, cumin, turmeric, red chilli powder, black pepper, soda and mix well.
  4. Also mix onions, coriander leaves and green chilies.
  5. Now make round balls with the mixture and deep fry.

Hummus

Ingredients:

  • Boiled qabli channay: 2 cup
  • Garlic: 1 tbsp
  • Lemon extract: 1/4 cup
  • Yogurt: 4 tbsp
  • Olive oil: 2 tbsp
  • Papriks: 1/2 tsp
  • Naan: 1
  • Parsley: for garnishing
  • Salt: to taste


Method:

  1. Dip qabli channay in water and keep it over night.
  2. The next day boil them and cool.
  3. Now blend it with lemon extract, salt, garlic, olive oil, yogurt and paprika.
  4. pour it in the serving dish and sprinkle paprika and olive oil on top.
  5. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Fatoush 

Ingredients:

  • Garlic: 1 tbsp
  • Olive oil: 2 tsp
  • Salt: to taste
  • Black pepper: 1 tsp
  • Lemon extract: 2 tsp
  • French loaf: 2
  • Cucumber: 1
  • Salad leaves: 1
  • Parsley: 1 bunch
  • Tomatoes: 1
  • Spring onions: 1

Method:

  1. For dressing, mix garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, lemon extract.
  2. Cut french loaves in pieces and bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees.
  3. In a bowl mix together cucumber, salad leaves, parsley, tomatoes, spring onions and french loaves.
  4. On top pour the dressing and serve.
