Lemon Cake by Chef Meadha Rahat

Ingredients:

  • Butter 200 gm
  • Maida 2-1/4 cup
  • Baking powder 2-1/4 tsp
  • Salt 1/4 tsp
  • Sugar 1-1/2 cup
  • Eggs 3
  • Milk 3/4 cup
  • Lemon (zest) 1
  • Food color as required

For Icing:

  • Butter 125 gm
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
  • Icing sugar 3 cup

Method:

  1. Beat butter and sugar. Then put eggs and essence and mix it nicely.
  2. Mix maida and baking powder and put in butter mixture.
  3. Together put milk, mix it and divide batter into 4 portions.
  4. Now mix food color and put in 4 grease pan each of 7 inch.
  5. Bake on 175 degrees C and take out.
  6. For Icing: Mix all ingredients with batter and leave for 30 minutes.
  7. Now spread on cake, put one by one on top and cover whole cake with icing.
  8. Mix food color in remaining icing, decorate cake and serve.
