Ingredients for Dum Ki Arvi:
- Colocasia 1/2 kg
- Mustard oil 1 cup
- Lemons 2
- Green chilies 4
- Fenugreek seeds as required
- Curry leaves as required
- Turmeric 1 tsp
- Onion seeds 1 tsp
- Cumin 1 tsp
- Carom seeds 1 tsp
- Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
- Tamarind paste 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Wash colocasia nicely and boil with skin. When tender, cool it, peel its skin and keep whole.
- Now put peeled whole colocasia in one bowl, put turmeric, red chili flakes, carom seeds, salt, tamarind paste, lemon juice, onion seeds and cumin and mix it nicely.
- Then heat oil and add fenugreek seeds. When fragrance comes, put masala colocasia and roast for 5 minutes.
- Now keep on simmer for 5 minuted. Delicious dum ki arvi is ready. Serve with hot puri.
