Ingredients for Daal Bhaji Koftas:
- Gram lentil 3/4 cup
- Potato 2
- Bread slice as required
- Cabbage 1 cup
- Carrot 3/4 cup
- Onion 1
- Green chilies 1-2
- Garlic 1 cloves
- Soya sauce 1/2 tsp
- Corn flour 2 tbsp
- Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
- Oil for frying
For Curry:
- Tomato 5
- Maida 3 tbsp
- Oil 4 tbsp
- Onion 1
- Salt to taste
- Coriander 2 tbsp
- Kashmiri red chili 1 tsp
- Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
- Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
- All spice powder 1 tsp
Method:
- Clean gram lentil, wash it and soak for 1 hour.
- Strain water and boil lentil until tender. When water dries, cool it and grind it.
- Boil potatoes half and grind it.
- Also grind carrot.
- Cut onion and cabbage into finely chop.
- Mix all vegetables and masalay nicely.
- Mix soaked bread slice and boiled lentil.
- Then add salt and mix corn flour.
- Now make koftay and fry in oil until golden.
- For Curry: Heat oil and saute finely chopped onion and ginger garlic.
- Now put blanched tomato, kashmiri red chili and red chili powder and cook it.
- When tomato becomes soft, put 1 glass water and boil it.
- Dissolve water and maida and mix it.
- In end, add ready koftas and cover for 8 minutes.
- Put finely chopped coriander and serve with rice.
