Ingredients for Daal Bhaji Koftas:

  • Gram lentil 3/4 cup
  • Potato 2
  • Bread slice as required
  • Cabbage 1 cup
  • Carrot 3/4 cup
  • Onion 1
  • Green chilies 1-2
  • Garlic 1 cloves
  • Soya sauce 1/2 tsp
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • Oil for frying

For Curry:

  • Tomato 5
  • Maida 3 tbsp
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Onion 1
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander 2 tbsp
  • Kashmiri red chili 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Clean gram lentil, wash it and soak for 1 hour.
  2. Strain water and boil lentil until tender. When water dries, cool it and grind it.
  3. Boil potatoes half and grind it.
  4. Also grind carrot.
  5. Cut onion and cabbage into finely chop.
  6. Mix all vegetables and masalay nicely.
  7. Mix soaked bread slice and boiled lentil.
  8. Then add salt and mix corn flour.
  9. Now make koftay and fry in oil until golden.
  10. For Curry: Heat oil and saute finely chopped onion and ginger garlic.
  11. Now put blanched tomato, kashmiri red chili and red chili powder and cook it.
  12. When tomato becomes soft, put 1 glass water and boil it.
  13. Dissolve water and maida and mix it.
  14. In end, add ready koftas and cover for 8 minutes.
  15. Put finely chopped coriander and serve with rice.
