Zaffrani Jalebi by Chef Gulzar

Ingredienst for Zaffrani Jalebi:

  • White flour 1/2 kg
  • Sugar 1 kg
  • Food color 1 pinch
  • Yeast 1 tbsp
  • Saffron few
  • Kewra essence few drops
  • Milk as required
  • Silver paper as required

Method:

  1. For Syrup: Put water in pan, boil it, put sugar, make syrup and put kewra essence.
  2. Syrup is ready.
  3. For Jalebi: Put sugar and yeast in lukewarm water and leave for a while.
  4. When yeast rises, put in bowl, put flour, food color, saffron and milk, make mixture and leave for 2 hours.
  5. When yeast is ready, beat it nicely.
  6. When mixtures becomes lace lar, heat oil in pan.
  7. Then put paste in piping bag and make jalebiyan.
  8. When it fries, put in syrup, leave it, take out after a while, put in serving plate, decorate with silver paper, serve zaffrani jalebi.
