Strawberry Cake by Chef Tahira Mateen

Ingredients for Strawberry Cake:

  • Eggs 8
  • Caster sugar 1 cup
  • Vanilla essence 1 tbsp
  • Flour 2 cup
  • Salt 1 pinch
  • Strawberry puree 1/2 cup
  • Pineapple juice 1/2 cup
  • Strawberries 1 kg
  • Praline 1 cup
  • Fresh cream 800 gm
  • Icing sugar 8 tbsp
  • Red food color as required

Method:

  1. Mix eggs and caster sugar nicely and mix vanilla essence.
  2. Now fold flour and salt and put in greased mold.
  3. Bake in preheated oven on 200 degrees C for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Whisk fresh cream. Then add icing sugar and food color and whisk more.
  5. Soft cake with juice or syrup.
  6. Mix strawberry puree in some whisk cream and spread on cake.
  7. Sprinkle praline on top.
  8. Keep second layer of cake and cover with whisk cream.
  9. Decorate cake with piping bag.
  10. Decorate with strawberries slice and strawberry puree and serve.
