Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1 or 14 pieces
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilies 8
  • Chopped ginger 2 tbsp
  • Chopped garlic 8 cloves
  • Fennel seeds 1 tsp
  • Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
  • Green chilies 6
  • Lemons 4
  • Chopped tomatoes 3
  • Clarified butter/Oil 1 cup
  • Rice 2 cup
  • Chopped onion 3
  • Mint leaves 1/2 bunch
  • Black peppercorn 8
  • Black cumin 1 tsp

Method:

  1. First mix fennel seeds and coriander seeds and grind it.
  2. Now heat oil or ghee in pot, do chopped onion golden brown and take out half onion.Put chicken pieces and salt in half onion and dry chicken water.
  3. Now put yogurt, finely chopped tomato, red chilies, fennel seeds, coriander seeds, finely chopped ginger and finely chopped garlic and roast it nicely Then add green chilies and 2 lemon juice and keep on simmer.
  4. Boil rice in separate pot. Together put salt, mint leaves, black peppercorn and black cumin, boil till 2/3 and drain water.
  5. Now grease some oil in rice pot and make layer of half rice. Then spread chicken. Now make layer of remaining rice. Put 2 lemon juice and keep on simmer.
  6. When steam comes up, then stew biryani is ready. When serving, put fried onion and some mint leaves.
