Ingredients:

  • Chicken/ Mutton 1/2 kg
  • White beans 1 cup
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Chopped onion 2
  • Lemons 2
  • Chopped tomatoes 4
  • Green chilies 4
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Crushed cumin 1 tsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Ginger paste 1 tbsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Green coriander as required
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. First wash beans and boil with lukewarm water and salt.
  2. Now heat oil in pot, do chopped onion golden brown and take out half onion.
  3. Put chicken or mutton, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric and salt in remaining onion.
  4. When water of meat dries, then roast it lightly, add 1 cup hot water so meat tender. 
  5. After meat is tendered, put yogurt, tomato, all spice powder, 2 finely chopped green chilies and beans and roast it.
  6. Now again add 2 cup hot water. When shorba becomes thick, then keep on simmer. After that put finely chopped coriander, 2 finely chopped green chilies, lemon juice and black pepper.
  7. In end, put remaining fried onion and serve with hot hot chapati.
