Chicken In Tamarind Sauce by Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients:
- Chicken boneless 1/2 kg
- Oil 1 cup
- Lemon 1
- Chopped tomatoes 2
- Green chilies 4
- Whole red chili 8
- Fenugreek seeds few
- Curry leaves few
- Chopped garlic 4 cloves
- Green coriander 1/2 bunch
- Tomato ketchup 1/2 cup
- Tamarind paste 1/2 cup
- Black pepper 1 tsp
- Roasted cumin 1 tbsp
- Red chili 1 tbsp
- Chopped ginger 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
- First, mix tamarind paste, tomato ketchup, salt, crushed black pepper, red chili powder and chopped garlic nicely, mix in chicken and keep for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in karahi, put curry leaves, whole red chili and fenugreek seeds and do golden brown.
- Then put masala chicken and roast it lightly. Now cover it and cook for 5 minutes.
- After that, add finely chopped tomatoes, finely chopped green chili, lemon juice, roasted cumin, finely chopped green coriander and and chopped ginger and keep on simmer.
- Serve delicious chicken in tamarind sauce with plain rice.
