Ingredients for Chocolate Truffle Cake:

For Chocolate Sponge:

  • Eggs 3
  • Sugar 3 oz
  • Flour 2 oz
  • Coco powder 1 oz
  • Baking powder 3/4 tsp

For Filling:

  • Eggs 3
  • Milk 1/2 cup
  • Coco powder 1 tbsp
  • Chocolate grated 1 cup
  • Chocolate kisses 12-15
  • Gelatin powder 2 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Whipped cream 1-1/2 cup
  • Sugar 5 oz

Method:

  1. For making cake: Beat eggs, add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
  2. Now add essence and add in mixture of strained flour, baking powder and coco powder.
  3. Then spread batter in 8 inch greased pan and bake for 20 minutes on 180 degrees C.
  4. For filling: In a sauce pan, put milk, coco powder, egg yolks, grated chocolate and half sugar out of 5 oz and cook until mixture becomes thick.
  5. Now dissolve gelatin powder in 1/4 cup water.
  6. Then add ready mixture in it, beat with cream and put in cold custard.
  7. Now fold remaining sugar in egg whites, put in mixture and fold it.
  8. Then put on cake and leave until set.
  9. In end, decorate with beaten egg and chocolate kisses.
