Ingredients for Chocolate Truffle Cake:
For Chocolate Sponge:
- Eggs 3
- Sugar 3 oz
- Flour 2 oz
- Coco powder 1 oz
- Baking powder 3/4 tsp
For Filling:
- Eggs 3
- Milk 1/2 cup
- Coco powder 1 tbsp
- Chocolate grated 1 cup
- Chocolate kisses 12-15
- Gelatin powder 2 tbsp
- Vanilla essence 1 tsp
- Whipped cream 1-1/2 cup
- Sugar 5 oz
Method:
- For making cake: Beat eggs, add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
- Now add essence and add in mixture of strained flour, baking powder and coco powder.
- Then spread batter in 8 inch greased pan and bake for 20 minutes on 180 degrees C.
- For filling:
In a sauce pan, put milk, coco powder, egg yolks, grated chocolate and
half sugar out of 5 oz and cook until mixture becomes thick.
- Now dissolve gelatin powder in 1/4 cup water.
- Then add ready mixture in it, beat with cream and put in cold custard.
- Now fold remaining sugar in egg whites, put in mixture and fold it.
- Then put on cake and leave until set.
- In end, decorate with beaten egg and chocolate kisses.
