Aloo Gosht by Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients:

  • Mutton 1/2 kg
  • Onion 3
  • Chopped green chilies 4
  • Potatoes 4
  • Big cardamom 4
  • Whole black pepper 10
  • Chopped green coriander 1 bunch
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. First peel potatoes, cut into 2 pieces, put pinch of turmeric and soak in water.
  2. Now mix big cardamom and whole black pepper and grind it.
  3. In a pot, put mutton, 2-3 cup hot water, turmeric, ginger garlic paste, salt and red chili powder and keep for cooking.
  4. When water of meat dries and mutton is tendered, so roast it lightly and add yogurt and potatoes.
  5. Then roast it for 5 minutes and add 2-3 glass hot water.
  6. When potato is tendered, put grinded masala, chopped green coriander and finely chopped green chilies and keep on simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. In end, serve delicious aloo gosht with hot chapati or with plain rice.
