Apple Sponge Dessert by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Apples 3 large
  • Sugar 4 tbsp
  • Water 1/4 cup

Sponge Topping:

  • Butter 2 oz
  • Caster sugar 2 oz
  • Egg 1
  • Vanilla essence 3/4 tsp
  • Flour 1 cup
  • Milk 1/3 cup
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. First, peel apples. Now in a sauce pan, put sugar and water, add apples and cook on medium flame until apple is tendered.
  2. Then put in oven proof dish.
  3. For sponge topping: Beat butter and sugar. Now put vanilla essence and egg and beat it nicely.
  4. Now fold with strained flour, baking powder and milk. Now put this mixture on apple.
  5. After that, bake in preheated oven on 180 degrees C for 25 minutes until light golden.
  6. In end, serve with custard or beaten fresh cream.
