Strawberry Cream Flan by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Butter 4 oz
  • Flour 4 oz
  • Strawberry essence 1/2 tsp
  • Milk 1/4 cup
  • Pink color few drops
  • Sugar 4 oz
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Eggs 3

For Filling:

  • Strawberry juice 1 cup
  • Corn flour 1 tbsp
  • Eggs 2
  • Sugar 3 oz
  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • Strawberry essence 1/2 tsp
  • Pink color few drops

For Decoration:

  • Fresh cream 1 cup
  • Strawberries 1 cup

Method:

  1. For flan: Grease 8 inch flan tin.
  2. Now beat butter and sugar until creamy.
  3. Then add eggs one by one and beat it nicely.
  4. Now put strained flour and baking powder and mix it nicely.
  5. After that, add milk with strawberry essence and pink color and mix it nicely.
  6. Then put mixture in tin and bake for 15 minutes on 180 degrees C.
  7. Now turn flan in water.
  8. For filing: Mix corn flour, sugar, strawberry juice and egg yolks and cook on very low flame until thick.
  9. Now add butter, beat egg whites nicely and stuff it.
  10. Then fold in chill custard. Make layer of custard in center of flan cases.
  11. Now garnish with strawberries and beaten cream and serve.
