Saag Koftay by Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients:
- Mince 1/2 kg
- Spinach 1 kg
- Chopped onion 2
- Cloves 4
- Green chilies 4
- Small cardamom 6
- Black pepper 6
- Fenugreek leaves 8
- Oil 1 cup
- Green coriander 1 bunch
- Soya 2 bunches
- Bread slices 2-3
- White cumin 1 tsp
- Turmeric 1 tsp
- Poppy seeds 1 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Red chili 1 tbsp
- Butter 2 tbsp
- Gram 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
- First, grind gram, small cardamom, white cumin, poppy seeds, black pepper and clove finely.
- Now mix crushed bread slice in machine grinded mince and grind in chopper.
- After that, mix some salt, make small small koftay, fry it and keep it.
- Now wash spinach and soya nicely, soak with some turmeric, take out from water after 10 minutes and chop finely.
- Then dry with their water in pot with out putting water and grind in blender or chopper.
- Heat oil in a pot and don onion golden brown.
- Then roast lightly with ginger garlic paste, turmeric and red chili powder.
- Then add chopped spinach and fenugreek leaves. Together put salt and green chilies and roast it.
- After that, spread fried koftay. Put butter and coriander leaves on top and keep on simmer for 10 minutes.
- In end, serve delicious saag koftay with rice.
