Lauki Gajar Ka Halwa by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Grated carrot 1/2 kg
  • Bottle gourd 1/2 kg
  • Milk 1 liter
  • Khoya 125 gm
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Kewra essence few drops
  • Clarified butter 4 tbsp
  • Dry fruits as required
  • Silver paper as required

Method:

  1. First wash bottle gourd, peel it, take out its seeds and grate it.
  2. Put milk in a pot, add bottle gourd and grated carrot and cook it nicely.
  3. When milk dries, put sugar.
  4. When water of sugar dries, mix khoya and clarified butter and roast it nicely.
  5. When fragrance come, put kewra essence, mix it and remove it.
  6. In end, garnish with dry fruits and khoya, decorate with silver paper and serve.
