Dhaba Chicken by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:
- Chopped onions 3
- Garlic cloves 2
- Chopped ginger 1 inch
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Ground coriander 1 tbsp
- Ground cumin 1/2 tsp
- Red chili crushed 1/2 tsp
- Cinnamon 1/4 tsp
- Ground cloves a pinch
- Ground cardamom a pinch
- Turmeric 1/4 tsp
- Tomato puree 1 cup
- Chicken breast 1/2 kg
- Salt to taste
- Garam masala for sprinkling
- Chopped coriander 2 tbsp
Method:
- Heat oil.
- Add the coriander, cumin, crushed red chilies, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom and cook over low heat until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the onion, ginger and garlic ground together and cook until the mixture is golden brown.
- Add the turmeric and tomato puree and simmer until slightly thickened.
- Sesaon the cubed chicken with salt and add.
- Add water, cover and bring to a boil.
- Simmer over low heat until the chicken is cooked.
- Sprinkle garam masala on top, garnish with coriander and serve with rice or naan.
