Fish Sambar by Rida Aftab

Ingredients:

  • Boneless fish 1 kg
  • Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Sambar masala 2 tsp
  • Curry leaves 10
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Lemon juice 6 tbsp
  • Round chopped onions 2
  • Green coriander 1/2 bunch
  • Green chilies 6
  • Chopped tomatoes 2 cups
  • Mustard paste 1 tbsp
  • Oil 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. First marinate boneless fish with mustard paste and lemon juice for 30 minutes.
  2. Now heat oil and put ginger garlic paste.
  3. When fragrance comes, add chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric, salt and sambar masala and roast it nicely.
  4. After that 1/2 cup water and curry leaves.
  5. When it boils 1 to 2, add fish pieces and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. When fish tender, put onion slice, green chilies and green coriander, keep on simmer for 5 minutes and close stove.
