Ingredients:
- Boiled gram lentils 1-1/2 cup
- Boiled white lentils 1 cup
- Tomato 250 gm
- Turmeric 1 tsp
- Red chili 1-1/2 tsp
- Jaggery 1 tbsp
- Onion 1
- Mustard seeds 1 tsp
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Oil 4 tbsp
For Desi Tarka:
- Onion 1
- Garlic cloves 4
- Curry leaves 4
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Desi ghee 1/2 cup
- Green chili, Green coriander as required
Method:
- First heat oil in a pot and do onion golden brown.
- Then put tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, jaggery, mustard seeds and 1/2 cup water and cover it.
- When tender, add boiled gram lentil and boiled white lentil and cook for 10 minutes.
- After that, take out in dish and put green chilies and green coriander.
- For desi tarka: Heat desi ghee and do onion brown.
- Then add garlic cloves, curry leaves and cumin seeds.
- When fragrance comes, then put in lentil.
- Delicious balti daal desi tarka is ready.
