Mulligatawny Soup by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Onion chopped 2 tbsp
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Gram flour roasted 4 tbsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Tomato 1
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Curry leaves 15
  • Vinegar 3/4 cup
  • Ginger garlic 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Stock 4 cups
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Shredded chicken few
  • Boiled rice 4 tbsp

Method:

  1. First heat butter and do onion light golden in it.
  2. Now fry it with ginger garlic paste and chopped tomato nicely.
  3. Then add vinegar, chili powder, turmeric, salt, curry leaves, stock and bay leaf.
  4. After that, make paste of roasted gram flour and some water, put in soup and stir it continuously.
  5. Cook soup until it becomes in some quantity.
  6. Now remove from stove, put lemon juice and strain soup.
  7. Before serving, add shredded chicken and boiled rice and serve hot with lemon slices.
