Strawberry Jell-o-flan by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Butter 5 oz
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Flour 5 oz
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Eggs 2
  • Strawberry essence 1/2 tsp
  • Milk 1/4 cup

For Vanilla Cream:

  • Milk 1-1/2 cup
  • Sugar 5 tbsp
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp

For Filling:

  • Strawberry sliced 2 cups
  • Fresh cream 1 packet
  • Strawberry jell-o 1 cup

Method:

  1. Beat butter and sugar nicely until light and fluffy.
  2. Now put eggs one by one.
  3. Then fold in strained flour and baking powder and make mixture.
  4. Now add strawberry essence and milk.
  5. Then spread in greased plain tin, bake in preheated oven on 180 degrees C for 15-20 minutes, take it out and chill it.
  6. For making vanilla cream: Heat milk and sugar.
  7. Now put corn flour paste and make thick.
  8. Then put strawberry essence and chill it.
  9. Now fold in 1/2 packet beaten cream.
  10. For Assembling: Spread baked flan on serving platter and moist it with any fresh cream.
  11. Then fill flan with vanilla cream and decorate with strawberry slice, strawberry jell-o and 1/2 packet beaten fresh cream.
