China Town Chicken by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1/2 kg
  • Ginger garlic 2 tbsp
  • Star anise 2
  • White pepper 1 tsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Soya sauce 1/2 cup
  • Brown sugar 4 tbsp
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Honey 1 tbsp
  • Corn flour 1 tbsp
  • Chinese salt 1/3 tsp
  • Oil 1-2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Boil chicken with ginger garlic, water and star anise.
  2. Now mix remaining ingredients in mixing bowl, add in chicken and cook it.
  3. When chicken is tendered, add corn flour in water, mix it and cook until sauce is thick.
  4. In ens, take out in dish and serve with fried rice.
