Ingredients:

For Pakoray:

  • Gram flour 1/2 kg
  • Green chilies 2-3
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Crushed carom 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  • Oil for fry
  • Salt to taste

For Curry:

  • Gram flour 1/2 cup
  • Sour yogurt 1 to 1-1/2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • White cumin 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1-1/2 tbsp
  • Whole red chili 4-5
  • Green chilies 2-3
  • Curry leaves 10-12
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. For pakoray: Now mix all ingredients except oil in water and make batter.
  2. Now heat oil in pan, fry pakoray, take it out and keep it aside.
  3. For gravy: First put sour yogurt in mixing bowl.
  4. Now add red chili powder, gram flour, salt and turmeric powder and mix it nicely.
  5. Then heat 1 tbsp oil and fry white cumin.
  6. Now add green chillies and ginger garlic paste and roast it.
  7. Then add yogurt mixture and stir it continuously until gravy is ready.
  8. Then add pakoray in gravy.
  9. Put remaining oil in pan, make bhagar of whole red chili and curry leaves, put on curry and serve.
