Ingredients:

  • Red lentil 1/2 cup
  • Boiled chick peas 300 gm
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic 1-1/2 tbsp
  • Green chilies 6-7
  • Dry fenugreek 2 tsp
  • All spice powder 1/2 tsp
  • Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Whole spice 1-1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp

For Garnish:

  • Whisked yogurt as required
  • Tamarind chutney as required
  • Green coriander as required
  • Papri for garnish

Method:

  1. First wash boiled chick peas, put soda and soak overnight.
  2. Now add 2 jug water and leave on stove for tender.
  3. When it comes near to tender, then add red lentil and tender both.
  4. For bhagar: Add oil, yogurt, green chilies, dry fenugreek, whole spice and red chili powder in pan, make bhagar, add in chickpeas and cook for 10-15 minutes. Chickpeas is ready.
  5. Now crush pathoray in one plate.
  6. Then put channay and garnish with whisked yogurt, tamarind chutney, green coriander and papri on top,
