Arabian Halwa by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Boiled chickpeas 300 gm
  • Milk 1 kg
  • Sugar 250 gm
  • Khoya 250 gm
  • Pistachio almond 1/2 cup
  • Grated coconut 1 cup
  • Small cardamom seeds 10-12
  • Ghee 1 to 1-1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Wash kabuli chickpeas, clean it and soak overnight. Then boil it.
  2. Now take it out, dry it, put in milk and leave for cook.
  3. When chickpeas is completely tendered, dry milk and remove it.
  4. Now put in blender and grind it.
  5. Then put small cardamom seeds in ghee, roast it, put grinded chickpeas and roast until chickpeas rawness is finished.
  6. Now add khoya and roast it.
  7. Together put grated coconut and roast it.
  8. When halwa leaves ghee, remove it, take out in serving dish, garnish with almond and pistachio and serve.
