Ingredients:
- Colocasia 1/2 kg
- Mustard oil 1 cup
- Lemons 2
- Chopped green chilies 4
- Mustard seeds few
- Curry leaves few
- Turmeric 1 tsp
- Onion seeds 1 tsp
- White cumin 1 tsp
- Carom seeds 1 tsp
- Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
- Tamarind paste 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Wash colocasia nicely and boil with skin. When tendered, chill it, peel it and keep whole.
- Now put peeled colocasia in bowl, put turmeric, red chili flakes, carom seeds, salt, tamarind paste, lemon juice, onion seeds and white cumin and mix it nicely.
- Then heat 1 cup oil and add mustard seeds. When fragrance comes, put masala colocasia and roast for 5 minutes.
- Then keep on simmer for 5 minutes. Delicious colocasia is ready. Serve with hot puri.
