Stuff Cabbage In Gravy by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Cabbage 1
  • Chicken mince 250 gm
  • Green chilies 5-6
  • Green coriander 1/2 bunch
  • Chopped green onion 2-3 sticks
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Oil 2-3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Thread for binding

For Gravy:

  • Tomato puree 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Onion paste 1/2 cup
  • Oil 2-3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Green coriander for garnish

Method:

  1. Put cabbage leaves in steamer, steam it for 10 minutes or boil in hot water for 1-2 minutes.
  2. When leaves becomes soft, take it out and chill it.
  3. Heat oil in pan, add chicken mince and ginger garlic paste and roast it.
  4. When mince is nicely roasted, put salt, mix it, take out in bowl and chill it.
  5. Now add green chilies, green coriander and chopped green onion and mix it.
  6. Then keep on cabbage leaves, make pocket and bind with thread.
  7. For gravy: Heat oil in pan, put onion paste and ginger garlic paste and roast it until color of mixture becomes badami.
  8. Now add tomato puree, red chili powder, turmeric powder, all spice powder and salt and roast until mixture leaves oil.
  9. Now put in water, leave cabbage leaves with soft hands and keep on simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  10. When simmer is completed, dish out, garnish with green coriander and serve.
